You can certainly measure your lot lines, check with the City of Fort Myers or Lee County for permit requirements, and verify property corners yourself - in fact, we recommend doing that before anyone starts digging. Where DIY goes sideways is getting posts dead-plumb, set deep enough, and aligned so a gate doesn’t sag within six months.
